I find that the best way to speed up a computer is by defragmenting it.

You can use the Windows Defrag Tool that can speed up your computer by miles, I recently ran it on my five year old Windows XP Machine and now it flys!

Saves you money as you don’t have to buy a new computer.

I realise that my computer is much better now, and that is because of the ram.vbs file i made, so once again thanks for the powerfull information you share with everyone.
However i still would like to hear from you about the “sistem manage size button” that doesn´t stay checked.

Hi Patrick and Rodolius,
I made the ram.vbs file, but i´m still not sure if the computer is better.I´m also with a doubt because on the youtube video i think the girl was talking about a ram.vbe file and not a ram.vbs file.Am i wrong?
Rodolius i also went to advance tab on the performance option windows. I clicked change button under the virtual memory and choose “system manage size” and clicked OK.However i notest that the button doesn´t stay checked after clicking ok, because i went there again and the button (“system manage size”) wasn´t cheked anymore.Why does that happen?

Hi Kris,
Hey thanks for another great report. That is one problem that we all will face sooner or later if we use our PCs often. I like to run a disk cleaner when I shut down each day and that helps a lot by cleaning out unnecessary files. It is always good to hear from you Kris and thanks for all the help you provide.

You can right click the “My Computer” icon on your desktop. Choose properties. Click advance tab on the system properties window. Click the Setting button on Performance. Click the advance tab on the performance option windows. Click change button under the virtual memory.Finally choose “system manage size” and click OK. This setting can be use for Vista and almost the same procedure for XP.

I have 1.5 terra of HD space free and 8 gigs of 600mgh dr2 ram. I still get that notice. What , if anything, can I do?

Another trick to run your RAM better and faster is to make a little File in note pad…

1)Open notepad and make shure there are no spaces everything is cleared.
2)Type in mystring=(80000000)
3)Save as in ram.vbs on Desktop

Double click it on desktop and there you go, you will notice your computer is running much faster:)
Works with games if your having lagg.
You have to click on it every time when you start up your computer or you can copy the file to your startup folder in your document & Settings So your computer will do it for you when you start up your Computer ^.^
